Thomas Kaske, born in 1984 in the G.D.R., studied Social and Cultural Anthropology and Film Studies at Freie Universitat Berlin. After living in Nairobi. He began working for the M.A. Visual and Media Anthropology program in 2008, where he developed a passion for documentary filmmaking. In 2013, he pursued an M.F.A in Media Art and Media Design at Bauhaus UNiversity Weimer, directing and producing experimental short films. He is a member of the Documentary Association of Europe and Dox BoX e.V. His films have been featured at major festivals such as Berlinale, IDFA and CPH:Dox. In the summer of 2024, Thomas joined Seera Films as a producer.
